About
Leah MacLeod is an emerging US oil painter whose figurative animist paintings explore the promises, whispers and shouts overheard from the Otherworld. Her work continues a tradition of using art to explore and invoke the magic surrounding us and the unspoken bargains of our existence.
Leah’s working process is rooted in traditional techniques of oil painting on wood panels, using multiple layers of thinly applied pigments and glazes. It is a process that infuses each painting with as much spirit and power as possible.
You can find Leah in Madison WI, sitting between a cat & a crow, in adrenaline withdrawal, and painting the visions that float past.
